Overdraft Protection

Which accounts are eligible for overdraft?
Any checking account can be linked to another checking account, savings account or personal line of credit to receive overdraft protection.
How does overdraft work?
In the event that your checking account doesn’t have enough money to cover a withdrawal or purchase, overdraft protection automatically transfers money into your checking account from one of your linked accounts (provided there are funds available in one of those linked accounts).
Is there a limit to how many times I can use overdraft?
There is no limit to the number of times that you can overdraft in a day from a checking account. Savings and money market accounts are limited to six electronic withdrawals per month, which includes the use of overdraft, transferring money between accounts, etc.
Are there fees to use overdraft?
There’s no cost to enroll in overdraft protection. You pay for overdraft protection only when you use the service. The $3 fee to transfer money from a linked account and $33 for Overdraft Privilege can help you avoid even larger fees for bounced checks. View fee schedule.

What if I’m receiving social security or another federal benefits payment?

Your money will be available to you the morning of your payroll date. In most cases, your money is deposited even before Financial Partners is open for business! This is faster than if you deposit a check with a teller, in which case you might not have access to your funds until the next day or later.
